While Shopify's Liquid templating language is flexible, it can be limiting for complex customizations, especially when trying to extend the store beyond e-commerce functionality. The customization of the URL structure is also limited.

The advantages outweigh the disadvantages, and with a (still) fair pricing model for the range of possibilities, it represents a cost-efficient solution for small and large companies.
